The Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) was established in Malawi in 1962. It was then known as Evangelical Association of Nyasaland. The main focus of the association was to defend the gospel against liberalism which was then spreading fast all over Africa. In the late sixties and mid seventies, the Evangelical Association of Malawi was instrumental in facilitating the work of a number of mission agencies committed to the propagation of the gospel in our nation. EAM played a key role in the establishment of New Life For All, Scripture Union, World Vision International and many other organizations in Malawi. Over the years EAM, through the work of its member churches and mission agencies, has contributed significantly towards the spiritual and social transformation of our nation.

EAM is duly registered with the Malawi Government under the Trustees Incorporation Act.
